Sometimes you act simply because your inner voice tells you to. It’s not about gratitude, rewards, or recognition — you do it because it’s right. It’s a quiet conviction that guides your actions, even when no one is watching — and no one will ever know. And while living that way feels good, you also gain something deeper — something beyond measure. Every time you take the high road, you’re banking karma points that will eventually come back to you. Every good deed is a deposit in your karma bank, and the universe always pays it back.
Karma is the natural law of cause and effect — the idea that what goes around comes around. Put out good energy, and it returns to you like a boomerang. Unfortunately, the same is true for negative behavior.
Good Things Happen to Good People
Ever wonder why some people seem to get all the breaks while others live under a dark cloud? Some call it luck — maybe it’s something more.
People with strong moral standards give more than they take, lead by example, and inspire those around them. They do what’s right, even when it’s difficult. They invest in themselves, put in the effort, and stay steadfast, even when pushed to their limits. Over time, good things naturally fall into place for them.
Others are selfish, underhanded, or play dirty. They might think they’re getting away with something — and maybe they do, for a while. But eventually, it catches up with them — and that has trouble written all over it. They get exposed, lose trust, or face setbacks that mirror their actions.
And when they ask, “Why me?” perhaps it’s the universe’s way of saying, “I saw that.”
How Many Karma Points Did You Bank Today?
As a kid, you might have earned an allowance for doing chores and saved it in a piggy bank for something special. It taught you that if you want good things in life, you have to earn them.
Karma works the same way. Every time you show kindness and compassion, act with integrity, or lift someone up, you’re making a deposit — and those good deeds will come back to you one day.
Skeptical? Fair enough. But before you dismiss karma, ask yourself: Which life would you rather live? Would you rather be proud of who you are, or haunted by what you’ve become?
Whether or not you believe in karma, one thing is clear: Living with integrity and purpose leads to happiness, success, and fulfillment. In the end, it’s your choice. You face yourself in the mirror every day — make sure you respect who you see.
